Looks like you missed the party you started. The first thing you notice is your sword in pieces in three different places.

This little flaming pile appears to be nothing but ash.

You'd also not want to see what happens when that magic pouch you have gets torn.
You've heard of the strange things that kind of magic can cause...

Actually... You're no expert on military arms, but this doesn't look like it would work very well.
You decide to discard the spear for the axe, as the spear seems a little bent and looks to crack if it were actually used.

Also... key? Key to what? The hatch on the wall? It looks just like the one in the room across the hall.

Even has a slot to... wait, this is different. If this is a keyhole then it's a pretty strange-looking one.

Time to see what's behind door number two. You turn the key and the audible gear shifting begins inside the walls.
And your prize is...

A shiny, red crystal ball.

Ok, good, nothing.
You place your axe down, pick up a heavy piece of splintered wood in one hand, and grab on to the orb to try and pick it up with the other.
Link
It doesn't budge.
Strange. You put down the piece of wood and try to pick up the orb with both hands.
Link
You feel it move VERY slightly. This thing is heavy... REALLY heavy. Even for you. You cannot move it like this.

>use spear as a lever
>You pick up the spear and stick the bottom end of the shaft under the base of the orb to try to use it as leverage to pry it off the pedestal.

Just when you think you've got a proper hold under it and start pushing, the shaft of the spear snaps into useless twigs and the orb remains still.
This thing was much weaker than it appeared.
>roll it off
>...How? You wonder how this even got here. You've tried to pull it away with your hands and the spear proved no use.
This place and its dumb puzzles are already way past on your nerves.

You shake your head at these thoughts and try to focus on more pressing matters like getting out of here!

>inventory check?
>You make a mental reminder of your belongings.
INVENTORY:
WEATHERED CLOTHES - Your clothes. Mundane, yet comfortable.
DUST SHROUD - A type of garment common in the deserts and dust-bowls of Harik-Nadima. Designed to protect someone from the violent winds in dust and sandstorms.
OVERSIZED SCARF - Made for a human, and therefore too big for you. Given to you before you left on your trek up here. It's pretty strong, could probably function as a makeshift rope.
RUSTY BATTLE AXE - A big, dull slab of metal on a stick. Sized for a human, so its more like a short halberd for you.
MAGIC POUCH - A small, simple-looking sack that's apparently bigger on the inside. Light as a feather. Currently contains a few meat rations, a strange and glowing crystal, and a metal flask.
>attempt to scoop it up with magic pouch
>You loosen the string on the pouch and place the lip of it on the top of the orb...
Link
and begin to slide it down. After a bit the orb just sort of... falls in? You hope it didn't crush anything you had in it.
Link
The entire orb fits inside and the pouch maintains its light weight. Magic confuses you; you wonder if it would be hard to learn some yourself.
Link
ACQUIRED: RED CRYSTAL BALL
>rehost previous images on imgur, because puush took them down
>Strange words suddenly come to mind. You wonder what an "eemguhr" and a "poosh" is.
And rehost? Host what? Is someone having a party...? Your head starts to hurt.
